[TO DO] How do I get a refund for my ticket?

Refunds are only available if a customer purchased a Flexible fare ticket with Travel Sure add-on, and as long as customer contacts us at least 15 min prior to service departure to tell us they are not travelling. See fare types & conditions for more details.


Refunds will not include cost of Travel Sure and other fees & donations. 


How long to process the refund?


How will the refund be made? eg. same method as when customer paid?

Early Bird Fare 

Our Early Bird Fare is our lowest‑cost option.
Please note: this fare is non‑changeable.

It’s also not eligible for a refund outside of our standard Terms & Conditions.


If Greyhound cancels your service, we’ll automatically update your ticket to have a 12‑month expiry from the date of purchase - you can manage your booking online, if this happens - Bus Tickets, Travel Passes & Packages | Greyhound Australia 

Advantage Fare

Our Advantage Fare gives you the flexibility to change the date and time of your trip (only) up to 24 hours before departure.

This fare is not eligible for a refund outside of our standard Terms & Conditions.

If Greyhound cancels your service, we’ll automatically update your ticket’s expiry to 12 months from the date of purchase.

Flexible Fare

Our Flexible Fare offers the most freedom. You can change the date and time of your trip (only) up to 15 minutes before departure.

If you can’t travel and aren’t sure when you’ll go next, you can cancel your trip and use the ticket later, as long as it’s within 12 months from the date of purchase.

This fare is not eligible for a refund outside of our standard Terms & Conditions.

To qualify for a refund under Travel Sure, you must let us know you’re no longer travelling before your scheduled departure.
